Geoweek 2025

Some glimpses from the Geoweek 2022

We are back with the popular Geoweek, the week-long event conducted under the auspices of the “Geoscience for All” initiative, a volunteer initiative of professional Earth Scientists to promote Earth Literacy – translating information on Earth science into a language and learning that can be understood by the common man.

A week full of learning and fun activities…this year’s Geoweek will be held from 10th December 2025 onwards. As usual, the week will see a range of activities like Talks, Contests, workshops and much more…

The highlight of the week is our virtual galleries showcasing the artwork, photographic images and posters received in the contests.

This year’s theme -  “Earth Science for a resilient future" highlights the significance of Earth science in achieving the goal of understanding and preserving our planet. In an era of rapid environmental change, Earth Science is at the forefront of developing solutions that ensure a sustainable future.

From groundwater security and disaster preparedness to climate-smart infrastructure and strategic resource mapping, this year’s theme invites researchers, educators, and students to rethink Earth Science as a toolkit for transformation. It’s a call to action: to connect geoscience with global goals, empower future leaders, and shape a world that’s not only informed—but resilient.

Geoweek 2025 is being organized in association with Nowrosjee Wadia College and the SPE student chapter of the Nowrosjee Wadia College.

All contests, exhibits and installations are based on the annual theme.
