A three-day workshop on ‘QGIS – An Open Source GIS Applications for Monitoring, Evaluation & Research’ will be conducted on 22nd, 23rd & 24th of August 2019

This workshop will present an introduction to Open Source software for Geoinformatics (FOSS4G) and some of the recent tools of FOSS4G useful for Monitoring, Evaluation & Research needs. The workshop will cover in detail the use of QGIS, the world’s most used GIS software.

After the highly successful Geolab 2018 – the first Inter- School Earth Science based project contest, we bring to you the second edition of the earth science project contest – The Geolab 2019.

As in the last year, schools can take part in the competition by presenting a project based on a subject related to Earth Science. Each school can submit one project for contest.

Theme :  Earth Science Matters!

The photographs should be related to the field of Earth sciences encompassing topics like Nature, Earth,  Environment, Astronomy, Geography, Geology, Atmospheric sciences, Hydrosphere, rivers, mountains, Star trails, fossils, rocks, outdoors, etc. In short anything related to the Earth but should highlight the importance of Earth Science in everyday life.
