A. GENERAL
- Geoquest Enlinea is a set of 12 Quiz episodes which will go live monthly, on the 1st weekend of every month.
- Each episode of quiz will consist of an Earth Science related theme like: Astronomy, Geography, Geology, Atmospheric Sciences, Hydrosphere, Environment, Landforms, Petrology, Geo heritage, Engineering Geology, Petroleum Geology etc.
- Participation is free and open to all. Participants will require to register and create a user account. User progress will be saved in their account.
- Each quiz round will consist of approximately 25 questions which may include pictorial and video-graphic questions.
- Quiz is time bound.
- Time to answer all the questions is only fifteen (15) minutes.
- All participants who score 60% or above in a quiz episode will receive a certificate of accomplishment.
- Participants will receive points after every episode based on their score.
- Maximum of 100 points can be scored in each episode and a maximum of 1200 cumulative points are up for grabs, spread across the 12 quiz episodes.
- Participants with high cumulative points will receive special certificates, exciting titles & badges, and will be featured on the CERG website & social media page every month.
B. POINTS SYSTEM
- Every percent scored in the Quiz episode will translate to 1 point. (1% = 1 point)
- Points from previous Quiz episodes will be carried forward and added to the next quiz episode points. This will be the participant’s cumulative points.
- For example, if the participant scores 60%, 50% and 80% in 1st, 2nd and 3rd quiz episode respectively, then his/her cumulative points will consist of the addition of 60, 50 & 80, which is 190 (60+50+80).
- Participants who score 1100 points and above will earn the title of the “Geo-Whiz” and will be awarded a special certificate and attractive prizes.
Special badges and titles are up for grabs at the specified level of cumulative points. Names of all badge and title winners will feature on the CERG website and social media page. Table showing points required for different badges is given below

C. REGISTRATION GUIDELINES
- You need to register to take part in the quiz.
- To register, click on “Register a new account” on the entry screen.
- On the next screen click on “REGISTER” button.
- On the next screen, fill in the required details i.e. email address, custom password etc. and click on Submit.
- A verification link will be sent to your email address. Click on the link provided in the email to verify your account. You should get a message” Email address verified successfully”
- The verification link can only be used once.
- You can now login to the quiz using the “Login to Geoquest Enlinea” button. This link will only be active from 12:00 noon on opening day of the monthly episode.
- In case you get the message “Invalid verification link”, you will need to register again.
- Your username is your registered email address.
- In case you have forgotten your password, click on “Forgot password?” link on login screen and enter your registered email address, then click on “Reset password”. New password will be sent to your registered email address.
MORE THAN ONE ENTRY BY THE SAME PERSON WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION
